Never Too Busy for a Little Brian Davis and Brantley Gilbert!

My pals at City Limits Saloon in Downtown Raleigh are having a FREE concert tonight (courtesy of Bud Light's One Night Stand... thank you Bud Light!) featuring Brantley Gilbert who I posted about earlier here. Who is opening for him? None other than our good buddy BRIAN DAVIS!

It's already shaping up to be a busy week, but who could turn this lineup down?

Not this girl!

Renee's already in for the Monday night fun. Who else wants to join?

PS - You can find Brantley on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/BrantleyGilbertMusic and City Limits at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Raleigh-NC/The-Official-City-Limits-Saloon-Raleigh/105498752816348! (Don't forget BD at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brian-Davis-Live/20712075596, either!)

Pumped!

Renee and I are working on our game plan for tonight and it definitely includes City Limits Saloon for the Brantley Gilbert (sorry, it's a MySpace link) show.

Brantley is one of those artists that I have the pleasure of hearing on XM Radio, but if you're stuck listening to just local stations, you probably aren't hearing enough of this guy! He's got a voice that's a little country, a little rock 'n roll... untainted by Nashville's increasing lean toward pop.

PS - It's also NEB/the boyfriend's birthday today... so happy birthday to him :-)

PS #2 - Our local homie, Brian Davis (LIVE!), will be opening for Brantley. Now THAT'S a good lineup!

Any Redneck Women Out There?

If so, I thought you might like to know that the original "Redneck Woman", Gretchen Wilson, is performing this Saturday afternoon at City Limits Saloon in Raleigh!

It's actually a "Thank you!" and benefit event, put on by the folks at WQDR, City Limits, and Deep South Entertainment.

WQDR and City Limits Saloon wanted to thank everyone who donated to the QDR Christmas Wish program that has been held on-air for the past few weeks, so to do that, they're inviting those who donated out to special afternoon concert on December 19th with Gretchen Wilson.

If you didn't get a chance to hear about Christmas Wish or to donate, you can purchase tickets at the door for $10.00; however, space will be limited. All proceeds from the door go to benefit the QDR Christmas Wish :-)

Doors open at 12pm. No advance tickets are available.
You can call the boys at City Limits at (919) 829-3939 if you have any other questions!

Spare Change Coming to City Limits!

If you've been to the TBMF, there's a good chance you've partied with Spare Change... and had a blast. I love these guys and was super excited to see they'll be coming to City Limits in December. (They often play a lot of Eastern NC shows, but never close enough for me to get there to party.)

They cover everything from country to rock 'n' roll and have a great stage presence. Check out their website, facebook, or twitter for more updates!

Here's the skinny from City Limits:

Thursday, December 3rd, City Limits Saloon welcomes the hell raisin’ party band Spare Change! With covers of everything from country and rock to rap and beach, it’s gonna be a Thursday you don’t want to miss!See ya there!

Shine!

The girls and I happened to kinda sorta end up backstage with the boys at the Eric Church "Carolina" launch party... and totally had no idea we were in Matt's good graces, of course.

Long story short, this Western NC boy making waves in Nashville is going to be in Raleigh soon... don't miss a chance to see him live!

When: Fri Jun 26 09 - 8:00 PM
Where: City Limits Saloon, 901 Tryon Rd, Raleigh, NC, 27603, US

Growing Up is Getting Old

Want to know what's kept me so busy lately? Among other things, helping one of my favorite non-profits put together a FANTASTIC event happening here in Raleigh on May 2nd.

Here's the scoop:
Bring the family out to City Limits Saloon on May 2nd as Brittany's Battle presents "Boots, Bands & Bulls", a benefit concert with Kevin Lee, Brian Davis and Arista recording artist Jason Michael Carroll, whose new cd, Growing up is Getting Old, comes out on April 28th!

Gates will open at 1pm, and the show kicks off at 2pm with activities for the whole family and the best country music you'll find anywhere, so be sure and visit BootsBandsandBulls.com and get your tickets today!

PS - Holy crap. I almost forgot to thank Tyler for shooting, editing, and producing that video for us! You need video? You need my good friend Tyler who has started his own local company - Red Wire Video!
